    BRIGHT
and colorful notgeld set from Erfurt has
    MATCHING
    serial numbers!
This bright colored version is more UNCOMMON than the other Erfurt sets.
This set illustrates the 400 year anniversary of Martin Luther.
Of interest are the small EMBOSSED seals seen at the bottom of each note-
    and when the notes are
    LINED UP
    they spell out L-U-TH-E-R!
    Also included is the
    RARELY SEEN
    folder
in good condition (small tear near lower part of crease).  The notes were originally sold in this folder and
    were often thrown away!
Notice the dates on the envelope: 7 April 1521 - 7 April 1921.
Wonderful crisp notes in UNCIRCULATED condition, which measure about 3 inches by 3¹/2 inches each.
All notes are guaranteed authentic. The notes you see are the ones sent, so please check all scans.
Notgeld (German for "emergency money") refers to money issued by an institution in a time of economic or political crisis. Notgeld generally refers to money produced in Germany and Austria after World War I. Issuing institutions could be a town's savings banks, municipality and private or state-owned firms.  They are interesting pieces of history, and have beautiful artwork.
    These notes are
    100
    years old!
