    Description

(Note: I'm going to add in a little advice here. All of my small drum machine parts, even the tiniest ones, such as a single LM-1 slider cap, is over shipping overseas [I think it's .35 to all of Europe as I write this, as I haven't raised the price in the last two years that the post office raised it in January, it takes three hours to change all the listings and I'll do it less frequently]. This is because it is over 0.25 inches [6.35 mm] thick. Anything 0.25" or more can NOT be sent as a letter, and also anything with ANY value can not be sent as a letter. But I always ship from the same post office, and early on in shipping these LinnDrum rubber slider caps, which aren't breakable so I just put them in a zip bag taped inside a paper letter envelope, not padded or anything, and since it is under 0.125" thick, the USPS clerks there told me I didn't have to pay the [then] .50 postage to Europe, that I could just use an international airmail letter stamp, which varies from about .50 to .50, depending on the luck of who is working and which stamp they say I need, but it's usually .50, and send it without having to fill out the triplicate carbon customs declaration forms. This was less materials and less time for me, and the shipping cost for me was a lot cheaper. So I VERY KINDLY passed this savings on to my customers, lowering the shipping price from USA and over overseas, to a flat anywhere in the world. This is sent by the same postal service and delivered by the same postal service as a padded envelope for over , so there isn't any greater risk of loss. But many, many drum machine part buyers love to try to scam me [I say "try" because even though eBay usually lets them get away with it, they get a lifetime ban from the products and services of Synhouse and the first part of this is being added to the eBay blocked bidder list which is 500+ and growing on average twice a month, cutting themselves off from the greatest source of drum machine parts that has existed in all human history, and for what, scamming me one time on a part?], and I have twice been scammed on these LinnDrum rubber slider caps by people filing an eBay/PayPal case against me because they know they can get away with it. Letters are mail, and mail doesn't have tracking numbers, and eBay forces the seller to PROVE the buyer received it, proof of having SHIPPED IT is---inexplicably---not enough. They put the responsibility of the carrier/mailman onto THE SELLER. If I ship it and I prove it, but they lose it or don't deliver it, I am the one who pays for it and takes 100% of the loss every time. So the scammer asks for a tracking number, are told there isn't one with the package you paid only FIVE DOLLARS to ship to Europe, then file a fake eBay/PayPal case against me, and I lose the merchandise and I lose the shipping money. And they get banned from Synhouse for life, which is a FAR bigger loss for them. The most recent of the two buyers on these LinnDrum rubber slider caps filing the eBay/PayPal case against me requested the refund and eBay policy does not allow me to refuse even on a no refund/no return item which is everything on my eBay page, it WILL be refunded whether I say yes or no, he said he wanted the money back because he never got it [in the authoritarian regime totalitarian third world country that murders journalists that he lives in] and he's going to search to buy it from another supplier. What a moron. This wasn't available anywhere else 10, 20, or even 30 years ago! And that's the point. And the message here is this: The next time someone files an eBay/PayPal case on these LinnDrum slider caps, boom! The shipping price goes up to USA and .35 overseas for everyone, or whatever the prevailing price is. Any other annoyance and I can just stop selling the caps entirely and keep them for my own LinnDrum restorations here. This is my business and my deal to make. The previous history on this matter should be a good lesson to all. When I finally started selling some of my parts for 80s drum machines in 2017 because the market prices were very, very high, I was doing the cheapest shipping possible, as I always do, because it makes it easier to sell. And NO, "the cheapest shipping possible" doesn't mean at cost, I'm running a business here, commie, 22 years and still going with this same corporation, FedEx also isn't shipping "at cost" [and BTW, people who send an eBay message saying my shipping prices are a total ripoff are added to the eBay synhouse blocked bidder list the next time I start the Synhouse shipping computer]. Shipping on those parts was just (And I still got complaints. Not my problem you live nowhere.), and in just 2-3 months, I had nearly ten different people overseas filing fake eBay/PayPal cases saying "item not received", because the shipping method [then in 2017] didn't really confirm the tracking number, it was there on shipment but wouldn't be updated en route or when delivered, and eBay would let them get away with it. Well, I discussed it with the post office and they said to add registered mail on top of the first class international parcel charge for those parts, and I did for all orders and up, and then EVERYONE OVERSEAS had to pay .05 and SIGN for the package. And just like that, there were no more "item not received" fake eBay/PayPal cases against me on those exact same parts that were shipped the same way and delivered by the same people. And everyone in the world has been paying more for shipping what would have been before if drum machine parts buyers didn't like scamming me. This is my supply and I set the terms, people causing problems just make it worse, sometimes for everyone.)
Note: This listing has been updated from previous listings. Before it was one cap size, now two different cap sizes are included.
    ------------------------------
    ------------------------------
    -------------------
This is a full set of thirty-two (32) black caps for the volume and panning sliders on a Linn LinnDrum. Sixteen (16) of them are the shorter type for the panning sliders, and sixteen (16) of them are the  longer type for the volume sliders.
Linn never had the correct size (this is the company that hacksawed the slider shafts on thousands of Linn 9000s because they bought slider pots that weren't the right size), so they just used inch-long caps and cut them to size with scissors. They cut the ones for the volume short and they cut the ones for the panning very, very short.
These two new types of slider caps for replacement use are factory-made for Synhouse in the exact correct sizes for the panning sliders and volume sliders.
The first ones made (11/2017) that were sold many times here on eBay were all the longer ones, which would usually fit with good clearance on both the panning and volume sliders, or could be cut down shorter for the panning sliders (because the panning sliders are slightly shorter than the volume sliders). These should now be used for the volume sliders, 16 pieces are included here.
The second ones made (1/2018) are the shorter ones, which should be used for the panning sliders, 16 pieces are included here.
An extraordinary minimum quantity was required to have this special short length made, but I did it because I love you guys. That, and I need more of them than you do and I got tired of cutting half of them shorter because it was tricky to make them exactly the same length (and notice on your LinnDrum, yours are varying lengths as well, the scissor cutting method they used wasn't very precise).
With one purchase here, you get 16 long and 16 short.
The old ones are sometimes missing, and almost always pretty grody by now. Put a whole new set on your LinnDrum and let it shine without all the crud.
These are treated with a special lubricant, so they are shiny and don't bind on the panel.
The factory that makes these is my friend's family business, so if there are other synthesizers or drum machines that need these type of rubber caps badly in special sizes or special colors, please let me know and I can possibly have them made in a month or two and make them available on eBay.
There is a minimum shipping price for all of my small components and a different minimum for a very low value item or for something or more. However, I can ship almost any number of parts for the international shipping that it shows for most of those items. So if you want, for example, an SP1200 overlay and some knobs and some switches, or knobs and switches and potentiometers or whatever, just let me know IN ADVANCE and I will set up a special listing for you so that you will only pay the shipping once. This is if you tell me IN ADVANCE, not if you ask for it later because any shipping money paid has already been docked 4.9% by PayPal and another 10% by eBay and that money is not coming back. Yes, eBay takes 10% of the stated shipping charge since 2011, and PayPal has always taken 4.9% of that money for international and 2.9% for domestic. So let me know in advance and I can set it up so that you can save a lot of money by buying and shipping the parts together.
I can also set up special listings for different quantities of items sometimes. Usually the price is the same per item but I can set it up and that saves a lot of money on shipping.
