Today I am selling more interesting things from my parents.  This auction is for an antique snuff bottle. My father says it is Chinese, I don't know for sure. He has had it for many many years, and it is NOT new, but we don't know the actual age of it. It appears to be made of glass. I do know it is in the "reverse painting" technique. The top is present but held on by sticky putty. It looks like there is a stick or bar inside, I can't tell for sure because the cork is "stuck" and I don't want to force it out. The one side is painted with mountains in the background and a house on a rock cropping surrounded by trees. The other side is painted with soft pink flowers and a dragon fly. Measures approx. 2 1/2" across at its widest and a little over 3" tall not including the topper. Incredible craftsmanship with the painting! Please see my other auctions.
