Antique rose medallion tea cup made from Japanese porcelain and hand painted in exquisite detail with pink peonies, roses, birds, butterflies, and people in vibrant pinks, blues, green and accented with gold. Rose Medallion has the unique characteristic of a central medallion of a rose, peony and birds.
The handle is trimmed with gold accents and the cup sits up on a white base.
The bottom of this unique cup is unmarked, indicating this piece was made from 1850-1890.
