SAME FUNCTIONALITY AS THE SUPER RARE AND HARD TO FIND ORIGINAL ROLAND SCSI HD5-IF BOARD
You are purchasing ONE brand new SCSI Interface for the ROLAND S-550 Digital Sampler bundled with a microSD card with 4 HD Partitions, fully loaded with  Roland Sample Library.
This replacement board is designed, not only to work as the original, but we also improved over the original design to accommodate modern setups.
We made it smaller and less bulky, 1/4
th
of the original size and easier to mount directly on the motherboard's
50 PIN
connector without the need of an additional cable and at the same time, we added a 5-volt port so it can provide power to a SCSI2SD board (if installing internally)
Imagine being able to load a whole disk volume (BANK) in less than 15 seconds via SCSI or better yet, load two volumes (BANKS) in chain mode at the same time in 25 seconds from any of the 4 available partitions on the same SD card (when using a SCSI2SD peripheral configured as 4 SCSI IDs). Hotswappable: it allows to change SD cards without having to power off the sampler in order to access extra library cards.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Access to 4 SCSI partitions have been tested with the following SCSI2SD boards:
- v5.0 boards (firmware 4.6 & 4.8.4)
- v5.5 boards (firmware 4.8.4)
Following configuration guidelines as found in forums and knowledge base. Other SCSI2SD version boards might be compatible but untested at the moment.
Partition settings for the SCSI2SD board (xml file), SCSI2SD configuration utility and firmware included as a download after purchase.
