VINTAGE 1958 QUEEN ELIZABETH First Class Accommodation PLAN Cunard + menus, etc

These gorgeous items are from a 1958 passage of the QUEEN ELIZABETH from New York to Southhampton, UK--and includes some additional itinerary items from the European travel that followed the passage. These items are so beautiful and in such good condition that they almost make me swoon. I absolutely have to get them into the hands of someone who appreciate them. Include are these items:

Plan of FIRST CLASS accommodation, CUNARD
and has a sticker from Nortown Travel Service in Chicago. It has the number B#46 handwritten in red pen on the front, but is otherwise very much like it was 63 years ago. It is a little dogeared on the corners, of course. The 6 page, 4-color map/plan inside unfolds to 8 5/8" to over 22" and shows views of many of the beautiful rooms onboard, maps of the decks. It is printed on both sides. It's pretty overwhelming.
Mrs. Edith Mann travelled on the QE-5-1958 on April 30, and returned on June 17 on a French ship (from which I have only a passenger list*). Her

is included. It includes time in England, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France. [Items from the European tour are available in another of my listings.}
Cunard Programme for Today
, with a fabulous design on the front has all the activities available to the first class passengers. Goodness gracious! Quizzes, games, table tennis, concerts, films, cocktail hour, dancing. I hope they did those things every day! Unfortunately this piece has a few small marks on it that look like red pencil or crayon. I'm afraid to try to erase them for fear of making them worse. Passenger list for the return voyage
from Southampton. It says "Cie. Gle. Transatlantique French Line". Her itinerary says she's coming back on the QUEEN MARY. Hmmm. I don't know what to make of that.
There is a darling 3-page, typed list of of things one might photograph provided by
Olson Travel "for Amateur Photographers"
. This one has been folded and was probably kept safely in a large pocket for reference. It's in pretty good shape, though somewhat tanned with age. Thank you, Olson Travel, for a list of all the tourist things to photograph in these countries in 1958. Helpful document.
The cardboard
luncheon menu from April 28, 1958
features a beautiful watercolor of a wooded area on the cover, by artist Miss P.I. Northcott. Great story behind this artist. This menu must've been a gift to passengers, because the date is BEFORE Mrs. Mann got on the ship.
Maybe this was also a giveaway, because it is also from a week before Mrs. Mann sailed.
Dinner menu from April 25, 1958
decorated with watercolors of famous explorers. Although they all kind look similar to me, it is simply stunning. Amerigo Vespucci is wearing what looks like a chef's hat, so it's appropriate that he is featured prominently on the front.
I'm including the
original invoices
so you can see what Mrs. Mann's family paid for her to have this fabulous 6-week adventure and can do the figuring on what a similar excursion would cost today. Except a trip like this is not possible today, except in movies, plays and our imagination. This collection of memorabilia could spark an imagination to go on such a journey.
